Prickly pair chairs is a result of the creative experience of a Mexican designer in Europe. Valentina Gonzales Wohlers has designed them based on the classical French oval chair originated in the Rococo period during the reign of Louis XV and has since been adopted throughout central Europe. Although she added the Nopal cactus decorations to it to symbolize Mexican heritage and national pride.source
